The Importance of Cultivating Pleasure and Healthy Sexuality: Part 2
Sexuality is an integral and cherished part of the human experience — a complex phenomenon, with physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual dimensions. Sex offers us excitement, sensual pleasure and deep connection. Our relationship to our sexuality, however, has been strongly influenced by our upbringing and culture. And for many of us, this connection is rooted in shame.
I’m so excited to be joined by Dr. Tina Schermer Sellers and dream expert, Nicoline Douwes Isema, for an insightful conversation about the importance of pleasure, and cultivating a healthy relationship with our bodies and sexuality.
Dr. Sellers is a licensed family and sex therapist, researcher, professor, and a leading voice on the on the impact of shame on sexual health. She’s also the best-selling author of Shameless Parenting – Everything You Need to Raise Shame-free, Confident, Kids and Heal Your Shame Too! and Sex, God, & the Conservative Church – Erasing Shame from Sexual Intimacy.
